Sophie Cross on France 2: will there be a season 2? – News Series on TV

Julia fernandez

–TV Series Journalist

Raised in “The Saturday Trilogy”, addicted to HBO series, sitcoms and British dramas, she follows with curiosity and enthusiasm the evolution of French series. It doesn’t matter the genre and format, as long as the fictions think outside the box and help society tell its story.

While the police mini-series ends tonight with a new unpublished on the channel, will we see a follow-up to the investigations of the ex-lawyer who became a police lieutenant to find the trace of her missing son?

At the end of the finale of Sophie Cross broadcast tonight on France 2, in which the heroine played by Alexia Barlier investigates the murder of a private detective, new clues will put Sophie and her husband (Thomas Jouannet) on a trail to find Arthur, their missing son three years earlier.

At the end of the episode broadcast this evening, in which notably appears Fred Bianconi and Olivier Barthélémy, the quest of the ex-lawyer turned cop to find the trace of her son will experience a new twist in order to keep the public in suspense. … and move towards a season 2?

If at this stage, the channel has not yet announced a renewal for the series created by Paul Piedfort, also worn by Cyril Lecomte, Oussama Kheddam and Mariama Gueye, it performed well during the broadcast of its two first episodes on November 9 and 16.

With 3.8 million viewers in the first week and 3.7 million in the second broadcast, i.e. 17.6% and 16.7% audience share, the indicators seem rather green for France 2 to renew Sophie Cross for a second season.

Until then, the three episodes of season 1 can be found in full on the SALTO platform.
