Skull and Bones: Ubisoft's game is once again postponed

Another bad news for budding pirates, the game Skull and Bones will still be in port for a while.

Decidedly the game Skull and Bones is cursed. While initially scheduled for November 8, 2022, he finds himself delaying his departure from the port for a few more long months. Indeed, we will now have to wait until March 9, 2023 on Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation®5, Stadia, Amazon Luna and Windows PC via Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store.

Why is Skull and Bones postponed?

Ubisoft therefore clarifies that although development of the game has been completed, additional time is needed to further refine and balance the experience using player feedback from technical testing as well as the Insider program. Obviously, tests have therefore taken place internally over the past two weeks and not everything has gone as planned.

The press release states:

This is the right decision both for our players and for the long-term success of the game, as March 9, 2023 provides a fitting release window for this very unique new brand.

If you want to know a little more about this pirate game, we advise you to read our preview. Overall the game is playable both solo and multiplayer even if it is this last component that seems to be the most interesting. This is also what Ubisoft insists on in its communication.

The great news is that ALL post-launch content will be completely free. It will avoid separating the community and having a game that will be able to live in the long term.
