In Episode 3 of She-Hulk: The Lawyer Disney+ A case arises in which Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) is called as a witness in court. Jennifer’s colleague fell for an Asgardian shapeshifter posing as Megan Thee Stallion, and is now suing them as he spent a staggering sum impressing them. Later we actually see the real Megan Thee Stallion sitting in the courtroom and in the end credits scene of the episode she even becomes a client of Jennifer Walters.
Yet Who is Megan Thee Stallion anyway? If you neither follow current chart music nor are you in the rap scene, then it could be that you heard about her for the first time in the current episode “She-Hulk” and are wondering if this is a real one person or a fictional Marvel character (after all, the name Megan Thee Stallion could also describe a superheroine).

But Megan Thee Stallion is real. The US rapper is one of the rising stars of recent years, not only has she won numerous industry awards (including three Grammys!), but was even included in Time Magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people in the world for 2020. But for those who still don’t know Megan Thee Stallion, you can find out more about the rapper here. We also explain below why we expect to see more of her in She-Hulk.
Megan Thee Stallion is currently one of the most successful US rappers. She hasn’t been in the business that long. The 27-year-old drew attention to herself early on with freestyle raps on Instagram and has built up an ever-growing fan base since 2013, which ensured that she reached an audience of millions with her first mixtapes and singles. She really got into the music business in 2018 when she signed a deal with the label 300 Entertainment and conquered the US charts with the mixtape “Fever”, the EP “Suga” and the debut album “Good News”.

This album also included a new version of her song “Savage”, which now also features superstar Beyoncé. The “Savage” remix not only became her first number one hit, but also earned Megan Thee Stallion two Grammys for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance (she also won the Grammy for Best New Artist in the same year awarded). Also well known is her collaboration with Cardi B on their single “WAP”, which reached number 1 on the charts in several countries.
Megan Thee Stallion has also won countless other awards throughout her young career, including four American Music Awards and two MTV Video Music Awards. Her second album “Traumazine” was recently released.

In addition to the successful music career, Megan Thee Stallion now also wants to let off steam in the film and series business. “She-Hulk” is probably just the beginning, after all, the rapper interviewed with The Cut explains that she was inspired by colleagues like Queen Latifah or Ice Cube, who also gained a foothold in Hollywood as rap stars. In addition, she has ambitions to try herself not only as an actress, but also as a director and producer. But also in the MCU?
At the beginning of the year, the StuntPOC website (via The Direct) leaked information that a stuntwoman was hired for Megan Thee Stallion for the Disney Plus series. So far we haven’t seen the rapper in a scene that could be described as a stunt – and no, twerking in the post-credit scene hardly qualifies as a stunt, especially since Megan Thee Stallion can do it better than any stuntwoman herself .
So there is a suspicion that there will also be an action scene with Megan Thee Stallion later on in “She-Hulk”. Since she’s one of Jennifer Walters’ first clients, making her a regular guest on the Marvel series wouldn’t be a problem. This is also supported by the fact that there were rumors in the run-up to her appearance that she would play in several episodes.
However, we don’t think Megan Thee Stallion will play a role in the MCU beyond She-Hulk. After all, she doesn’t play a real Marvel character, she just plays herself. We think it’s more likely that the rap superstar will now snag more Hollywood projects and start acting more often from now on.
“She-Hulk” supplies will be available again next Thursday: Episode 4 starts on September 8, 2022 on Disney +.
