Tim Roth spoke in an interview about his return to the Marvel universe on the occasion of the “She-Hulk” series, soon to be broadcast on the Disney Plus platform.
Thirteen years after the release of The Incredible Hulk, Tim Roth is making his comeback in the Marvel Cinematic Universe! The interpreter of Emil Blonsky, alias the Abomination, in the film by Louis Leterrier is indeed on the bill since September 1 of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, the time of a cameo scene. But that’s not all !
The 60-year-old British actor will also be one of the antagonists of the Marvel Studios She-Hulk series, which will mark the introduction of an all-new female character in the MCU: Jennifer Walters, played by Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black ). A return to the super-heroic franchise, which the actor spoke to the microphone of our colleagues from Hollywood Reporter.
I did The Incredible Hulk because I thought I was embarrassing my kids. I did it for them but I really enjoyed shooting it. So when they came to tell me about this She-Hulk adaptation and asked me to come back, I agreed because I thought it would be fun to do it.
In The Incredible Hulk, the green giant was not yet embodied by Mark Ruffalo, but by Edward Norton. A change of interpreter which did not however disturb Tim Roth, on the contrary, as he explained during this same interview:
I was very surprised by the difficulty of this shoot. It was only when Mark Ruffalo arrived on the set of the series that I understood how to proceed: with a lot of derision!
Fully filmed, the first season of the Marvel series She-hulk will be broadcast in 2022 exclusively on Disney +.
