Shark cult trash with a star cast is finally back on TV - thanks to #SchleFaZ
TELE 5

The upcoming autumn season of “The Worst Movies of All Time” aka “SchleFaZ” has it all. From September 9, Oliver Kalkofe and Peter Rütten will be showing a whopping 8 (!) new SchleFaZe on TELE 5, including the first Turkish film in the series and an absolute shark light…

Because, as we were able to tell you a good two months ago, “Hai-Alarm auf Mallorca” will be the opening film in the series. This has now been confirmed once again as part of the announcement of the overall programme. Long before the shark hype and trash like “Sharknado”, RTL produced this TV event spectacle with, among others, Ralf Moeller, Katy Karrenbauer, Ottfried Fischer and Jeanette Biedermann.

A must-see film about a shark murdering off Mallorca and a combat swimmer thirsting for revenge – and RTL also repeated it regularly, albeit quickly no longer on the main channel, but on special interest channels such as RTL Nitro and Super RTL. Unfortunately, there has been a break in free TV for years: the last broadcast was in 2018.

Now “Hai-Alarm auf Mallorca” is finally back on TV. On Friday, September 9, 2022, from 10:00 p.m. on TELE 5 as “SchleFaZ: Shark alert on Mallorca“.

The other seven films also have it all. There are so many, by the way, because due to the men’s football World Cup in winter, no new “SchleFaZ” editions will be broadcast there in competition – and so simply make a few more in autumn.

These are the other titles:

  • “SchleFaZ: The Barbarians” on Friday, September 16, 2022, from 10:00 p.m. on TELE 5: Cult director Ruggero Deodato sends bodybuilder twins through a twisted world in this trashy 80s cult fantasy film.
  • “SchleFaZ: Kara Murat – His kung fu is deadly” on Friday, September 23, 2022, from 10:00 p.m. on TELE 5: Cüneyt Arkin, who unfortunately recently passed away, lets it rip as the main actor in the first Turkish SchleFaZ in a fight against an unscrupulous prince.
  • “SchleFaZ: Creatures from the Abyss” on Friday, September 30, 2022, from 10:00 p.m. on TELE 5: Another monster horror from the deep. But here it is not a shark, but mutated creatures that are up to mischief in the ocean.
  • “SchleFaZ: The Scarlet Executioner” Friday, October 7, 2022, from 10:00 p.m., on TELE 5: 1960s horror from Italy, in which the successful films by the British Hammer company are more or less emulated.
  • “SchleFaZ: The Norseman” on Friday, October 14, 2022, from 10:00 p.m. on TELE 5: The current Viking hype also finds its echo in a SchleFaZ – with “Ein Colt für alleCASen” star Lee Majors in the leading role.
  • “SchleFaZ: In the power of the giant ants” on Friday, October 21, 2022, from 10:00 p.m. on TELE 5: The legendary trash filmmaker Bert I. Gordon delivers 70s creature horror with many ideas and little money – and even has “Denver Clan” legend Joan Collins on board.
  • “SchleFaZ: Give it gas – I want fun” on Friday, October 28, 2022, from 10:00 p.m. on TELE 5: When the Neue Deutsche Welle was supposed to hit the cinemas too, cult director Wolfgang Büld was there. With Nena, Markus, 5 (!) times Karl Dall and a lot of cigarette surreptitious advertising in front of the camera…

In “SchleFaZ – The Worst Movies of All Time” Oliver Kalkofe and Peter Rütten regularly tackle trash gems. They show films on TV, some of which you rarely or never see on the TV screen. With disguises and humour, they take up the most absurd passages and scenes from those works. And they also celebrate how terribly unsuccessful and perhaps because of that quite extraordinary these works are.
