New spearhead of Xbox, the Game Pass regularly welcomes new games. Between AAA and indies, players already have plenty to do, but Microsoft could soon release big cartridges.
According to the latest rumor, three Call of Duty games could soon land on Microsoft’s subscription service.
Call of Duty soon in the Game Pass?
Microsoft seems to be preparing heavy artillery for Game Pass. Since the acquisition of Activision-Blizzard studios, the Redmond company has inflated its catalog of games with ultra-popular titles including the Call of Duty series. When the takeover was announced, the idea of seeing a selection of the emblematic titles of the license arrive on the game subscription service touched more than one mind, including obviously that of Xbox.
The green brand could seek to create a surprise by soon adding a selection of Call of Duty games to its flagship service. In any case, this is what new clues unearthed directly in the Game Pass suggest.
A Microsoft error?
Several users have indeed noticed the appearance of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Modern Warfare Remastered, and Black Ops Cold War on the application in a dedicated section. More surprisingly, these three installments are tucked away in the “Xbox Game Pass Deals” category without any promotions or discounts being applied. Enough to fuel the craziest speculation, all things considered of course.
The three Call of Duty games aren’t the only ones on the list. You can also find Diablo 2 and a certain Resident Evil Village, the subject of persistent rumors lately. Corridor rumors were quickly denied by Major Nelson himself, who confirmed that it was a Microsoft Store error. It is possible that it is the same for the CoD and that it is a new blunder. Now we just have to wait for an official reaction from Microsoft to find out what’s going on.
