Two sequels are coming to Netflix’s most watched movie “Red Notice”.

Beau Flynn and Hiram Garcia, the producers of the Netflix movie “Red Notice” starring Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds, shared an exciting update on the status of the next two sequels.
Although the action comedy movie, which was released in November 2021, did not receive a passing grade from the critics, it achieved a total viewing rate of over 364 million hours in its first 4 weeks, making it the most watched English movie on the platform and has been maintaining this position for about a year.
There was talk of potential sequels even before “Red Notice” was released. After the huge success of the movie, Netflix officially gave the green light for two movies. The producers announced the new developments about the films planned to be shot back to back in an interview with Collider.
Beau Flynn said that the “Red Notice 2” scenario is in their hands, and the “Red Notice 3” scenario is nearing completion. Stating that their plans to shoot movies without a break are still valid, but this depends on what the lead actors think about the scripts, the producers also underlined that director Rawson Marshall Thurber is completely devoted to the project.
More details about the content of the sequels will be revealed near the completion of the scripts. For now, it’s only known that the main trio – Reynolds, Johnson and Gadot – will be returning in both sequels. The trio will work together to commit more heists, but things will get complicated as they are all wanted fugitives on a red notice… If production goes smoothly, “Red Notice 2” could hit the audience by the end of 2023.
