Notice to all lovers of the Wes Craven film! To celebrate Halloween in style, Airbnb is offering to rent the iconic house of the first Scream and meet Dewey (David Arquette) in person!
Scream: Airbnb rents the house from the first movie
December 20 will mark the 25th anniversary of Scream by Wes Craven. An anniversary date which will also be the occasion to discover the new film of the saga, soberly titled Scream, and which will be released on January 12. On this occasion, Airbnb has set up an exceptional event: to celebrate Halloween as it should be, the platform will allow the lucky little ones to stay in the house from the first movie. And they will have the chance to be greeted by an equally exceptional host: David Arquette aka Dewey.
The actor has also shared a video on his Twitter account to promote this event:
This house in California belongs in the film to Stu Macher (Matthew Lillard), one of the two killers. It is in particular in this house that Tatum (Rose McGowan), is killed in the garage. The entire final sequence of Scream takes place within these walls.
An exceptional evening
Three nights are organized by Airbnb to live the ultimate experience: October 27, 29 and 31. For only 5 dollars, the lucky ones (4 maximum per night) will be able to stay in the house, specially decorated as in Scream. On the program: movie night with the possibility of watching (on VHS!) The films of the saga and of course many surprises.
A draw will be organized to designate the lucky winners. Obviously, it is imperative to live in the United States to be able to participate.
For others, know that an online event Secrets of Scream will be held on October 28. Kevin Williamson, the scriptwriter and historic producer of the saga, will host this evening. He will answer questions from participants, and offer a never-before-seen behind-the-scenes look at Wes Craven’s films, and the new film. The evening is accessible from 86 euros per person and all proceeds will go to charity.
