The Resort is about an up-and-coming writer named Lex (Bianca Haase) who prefers to draw inspiration for her stories from morbid places and supernatural phenomena. In this regard, the birthday present from her friends Chris (Brock O’Hurn), Bree (Michelle Randolph) and Sam (Michael Vlamis) seems almost perfect.
The four fly by helicopter to a small Hawaiian island where there is a holiday resort that was abandoned years ago and is slowly starting to fall into disrepair. According to a legend that persists to this day, the reason for the failure shortly after the opening of the facility was a female ghost who was up to mischief here.
The young people begin to look around the empty walls and look for the “girl with half a face” who is said to be haunting there. In one of the rooms, they actually make some spooky discoveries. Filming on the Hawaiian island of Maui will be directed by Taylor Chien, who made his crime thriller debut ten years earlier, Cornered. Chien cast the lead roles with Bianca Haase (“Hot Tub Time Machine 2”), Brock O’Hurn (“Boo! A Madea Halloween 1 + 2”), Michael Vlamis from the TV series “Roswell, New Mexico” and Michelle Randolph (“House Of The Witch”).
Dave Sheridan has a major supporting role as a cop. The American once achieved some notoriety thanks to various comedy roles in horror film parodies such as “Scary Movie”, “Ghost Movie 1 + 2” or “The Walking Deceased – The Night of the Living Idiots”. He also appeared in various music videos for the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
