Already available for several months on the Salto platform, the series “Sauver Lisa” arrives on M6. There is a female cast made up of Caroline Anglade, Victoria Abril, Cristiana Réali, and Déborah François. In this fiction, a teacher will do everything to save an abused girl.
Save Lisa : a female road movie
This brand new series broadcast on M6 paints the portrait of different women. Inspired by Japanese fiction Mother, by Yuji Sakamoto, Save Lisa traces the story of a completely devoted teacher. Here we follow Rose Keller, a substitute teacher who goes to a school for only a few weeks. She quickly becomes attached to Lisa, an eight-year-old girl. But something is wrong, the little girl is often absent, sometimes she comes back with bruises and seems more and more frightened.
Faced with this situation, Rose finds herself helpless, so she decides to kidnap the little girl to keep her away from her nefarious family. Thus, they will embark together on a road trip to Spain. The teacher will find her adoptive mother and her sisters, but also her biological mother, who had her. abandoned at the age of 4.
A four-star cast
Series Save Lisa is co-written by Sylvie Audcoeur (Under the skin) and Anna Fregonese (My friends, my loves, my shit). Broadcast on M6 and composed of six episodes, of 52 minutes, the fiction highlights with finesse themes such as motherhood, filiation and sorority. We find renowned actresses such as Caroline Anglade, who aptly interprets the teacher, but also Victoria Abril, who has made a comeback in French television dramas since leaving the series Clem. Indeed, the Spanish actress is currently on TF1 in the soap opera Tomorrow belongs to us. Beside them, we can see Cristiana Réali (Red Bracelet), but also Deborah François, who is astonishing in the shoes of an abusive mother. A pretty cast which also honors the young Capucine Sainson-Fabresse, in the role of little Lisa.
A breathtaking thriller
Save Lisa is a series set against the background of child abuse and endangered childhood that emphasizes the importance of connections, be they heart ties or blood ties. The run of these women allows to cross different portraits of women and mothers. Loaded with emotion, this dramatic, even intimate, fiction highlights the subject of motherhood, because very quickly the viewers will understand why Rose is so attached to this little girl. Her behavior is linked to her childhood and the fact that she was adopted herself.
