This Thursday, September 23, TF1 launched its new series: Runaway. Worn by Michaël Youn, Sylvie Testud and the young Romane Jolly, this series is a dive into hell teenage prostitution.
Léa is an uneventful teenager. She is surrounded. His family is loving. Yet one day, Lea falls under the influence of an older man. At first, she thinks he will be able to help her make her dreams come true. He manipulates her. Léa sinks into prostitution and violence.
With two first episodes airing last night, the series achieved a nice start. In fact, 3.91 million viewers watched the first episode, and 3.21 million the following one. Runaway has thus risen to first place in the hearings. A good signal for future episodes.
One detail shocks viewers
Right now, TF1 does not really play the card of lightness. Indeed, in addition to Runaway which tackles a dramatic subject, the channel also broadcasts the series A French affair on the murder of little Gregory. Michaël Youn plays one of the main roles there.
But more than the very dark subject of teenage prostitution, it was another detail that shocked viewers of Runaway. Indeed, many of them reacted to the fact that the minor teenager 16-year-old asks to go alone with her friends to Amsterdam. A sequence that made a lot of talk on Twitter:
