Popular actor who no longer needs to be introduced, Franck Dubosc has also gone behind the camera with “Everyone standing”, a film in which he shared the poster with Alexandra Lamy. He will be back as a director with “Rumba la vie”, a comedy that is revealed in its first trailer.
Franck Dubosc returns to directing with Rumba life
In the long list of French comedians passed on the other side of the barrier, one finds in particular Franck Dubosc. The actor has been featured in many popular hits on our screens and he continues to nurture his success with very recurring appearances in our theaters. He too wanted to tell stories and grabbed the director’s cap. In 2018, he therefore released his first film: Everyone standing.
3 years later, he sets the scene again with a new achievement bearing the title Rumba life. To not change from its previous one, he still took the lead. Namely that of Tony, a fiftieth who abandoned his daughter after her birth. An act that he regrets at this stage of his life, following a heart attack. This is why he is now trying to find his trace. He will thus discover that she has become a dance teacher. To approach her, he signs up for a rumba class that she leads. In addition to dealing with the emotional aspect, he will especially have to get over the fact that he hates dancing. We recognize in this scenario similarities with Everyone standing, in which one man pretended to be another.
Rumba life has a release date set at January 19. Gaumont kicks off the promotion with a very first trailer. We thus discover Franck Dubosc in the skin of this man who arrives at a turning point in his life. The actor puts himself in danger with many danced scenes and the whole heart of the scenario will be in this fragile relationship with his daughter embodied by Louna Espinosa, a small screen star who landed her first movie role. Rumba life Clearly has the potential to be a pretty popular hit when released.
