Roar, eccentric anthology
The Apple TV+ streaming platform shares the first images of their new series Roars. This trailer reveals an XXL cast where eight women will carry a particular story. Roars come in eight distinct episodes lasting thirty minutes. This dramatic comedy holds particular stories because the eight female portraits are original. One of them solves her own murder, one disappears, another bonds with a duck, one returns her husband as a dysfunctional product…
A collection that shows the woman from various angles, according to a point of view “exclusively female”. Apple TV+ describes the series as “insightful, poignant and sometimes hilarious. She paints a portrait of today’s women.” Created by the creators of GLOW, Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch Roars is adapted from the book Hear the women roar! by Cecelia Ahern. The Irish novelist has been a great success since her book PS I love you was adapted for the cinema in 2008 (French release).
An XXL female cast
The cast of Roars relies on fabulous actresses. Also, the producer of the show, Nicole Kidman leads the dance and even eats photos in the trailer. Nominated in 2020 for the Oscar for Best Actress (Harriet), Cynthia Erivo is also in the game.
