In the prequel to “Beauty and the Beast,” Ora will play a character described as “a fugitive with surprising abilities, who carries with her a secret that could possibly affect the entire kingdom.”

Ora joins a cast that includes Josh Gad, Luke Evans, Briana Middleton, Fra Fee, and Jelani Alladin. Gad also serves as executive producer and co-showrunner with Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz. The series takes place years before the events of “Beauty and the Beast”. The story follows Gaston and LeFou’s departure after a startling revelation from her past about LeFou’s half-sister Tilly comes to light.

Ora’s film credits include the “Fifty Shades of Grey” series, “Fast and the Furious”, “Southpaw”, “Pokemon: Detective Pikachu”, and “Twist”. A musician, Ora has released four UK #1 singles and holds the record for most Top 10 singles for a British female artist in the UK with a total of 13 songs. Most recently, Ora wrote and produced “Bang”, a global collaboration with Kazakh DJ and record producer Imanbek.

Also Monday, it was announced that Daveed Diggs will be voicing the voice of Disney Plus’ “The Crossover,” based on Kwame Alexander’s novel of the same name. The story of his growth follows two brothers who are destined to become basketball phenomena. Starring Jalyn Hall, Amir O’Neil, Derek Luke, Sabrina Revelle, Skyla I’Lece, Deja Monique Cruz, and Trevor Raine Bush.
