Together, they were the two formidable leading roles in “Sixth Sense”, a great success of the year 2000, and a magnificent fantasy thriller by M. Night Shyamalan. Touched by the forced retirement of Bruce Willis, actor Haley Joel Osment paid him a touching tribute.
Sixth Sense one of the most beautiful roles of Bruce Willis
Haley Joel Osment reached very young world famous with three films: the monument Forrest Gump by Robert Zemeckis, in which he plays Forrest’s son, Sixth Sense by M. Night Shyamalan as young Cole Sear, and AI Artificial intelligence by Steven Spielberg, where he is the child-robot, David.
In Sixth Sense he forms with Bruce Willis a memorable film duo. The actor of Crystal trap and of The Last Samaritan there embodies a child psychologist and Haley Joel Osment a young boy who claims to see ghosts. A very high-end fantasy thriller, which owes its success in part to the fine performance of these two actors.
The world of cinema is currently paying tribute to Bruce Willis, forced to put an end to his career following his diagnosis of aphasia. Haley Joel Osment wanted to speak on the sad news.
Haley Joel Osment: ‘Hard to find the words’
It was on Instagram, also like John Travolta, that the now 33-year-old actor expressed himself and paid a very personal tribute to Bruce Willis.
It’s been hard to find the words for someone I’ve always looked up to – first on the big screen, and then by some incredible luck, in person. He is a true legend who has enriched all of our lives, with a singular career spanning almost half a century. I am so grateful for what I was able to witness directly, and for the immense work he built for us and which will make us happy for years to come.
I just wanted to express the respect and deep admiration I have for Bruce and his family to move forward with the courage and drive that have always defined them.
Touching words for a beautiful tribute to the one to whom Haley Joel Osment partly owes a very beautiful line in his filmography.
