Last spring it was a bit of a village party in the wonderful world of Resident Evil. But with the arrival of autumn, the mayor decided that it was time to take out the pumpkins, for other festivities.
If there is a period in humans for morbid celebrations, it is undoubtedly the orangey month of October. And if the very first installment of the Resident Evil license was released in March in Japan, it is around Halloween that Capcom intends to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the saga even more.
Pumpkins, pumpkins, always pumpkins
The editor of Osaka has just put online a site intended to celebrate the quarter of a century of its premonitory series, where a nasty virus atrophies the brain of part of humanity. Back home, we call it the 2022 presidential election, but whatever. The gate Happy BioHazard 25th Halloween is therefore available now, and many surprises are expected until the end of the month.
While players are still waiting for the multiplayer mode RE: Verse, decidedly well separated from the release of Resident Evil Village, Capcom has launched hostilities with a good old competition of families:
Thanks to the hashtag # バ イ オ ハ ロ ウ ィ ン (or #BioHalloween in that good old Latin alphabet), fans of the series will be able to share their cosplays, screenshots or personal illustrations to win 4K screens and other virtual reality headsets. The trick is also the way to remind the arrival of Resident Evil 4 VR on October 21.
It is precisely on this same day that Capcom will unveil other surprises, since the horror schedule list promises no less than four announcements for October 21, followed by four other highlights, on October 22, 25 and finally 29.
In view of the busy news of the series (between the nanardesque trailer for the film Welcome to Raccoon City or the rumors of a remake of the fourth episode, there is plenty to do), we will let you tell us about your more or less horrifying predictions in the comments below.
