Inspired by the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland, the movie is also a remake of the 2003 Eddie Murphy movie “The Haunted Mansion.”
Disney has officially announced a release date for the star-studded comedy and family movie “Haunted Mansion.” We will be able to watch the movie a year later, in March 2023. Therefore, “Haunted Mansion” will compete at the box office with Paramount’s “Dungeons and Dragons”, which will be released at the same time.
Starring Danny DeVito, Owen Wilson, Rosario Dawson, LaKeith Stanfield, and Tiffany Haddish in the story will bring back ghosts and ghouls. The script of the movie and the stories of the characters are kept secret, and we do not know which actor plays which character. It has only been announced that Danny DeVito will appear in the role of a grumpy professor.
Centering on a single mother and her son, the film tells the story of this couple, who bought a spooky mansion, and discover that it holds centuries-old secrets and mysteries. After Gabbie discovers that the mansion she and her son settled in is inhabited by ghosts and ghouls, she enlists the help of a tour guide, a psychic, a priest, and a historian to banish them.
Directed by Justin Simien, the movie is inspired by the Haunted Mansion located in Disney’s theme park, Disneyland. Disney adapted this spot in the amusement park to a movie in 2003, but it was not liked very much. Eddie Murphy, Marsha Thomason, Jennifer Tilly, and Terence Stamp starred in the lead roles in the 2003 film “The Haunted Mansion” directed by Rob Minkoff.
