Evans and Johnson will star together in Amazon’s action comedy “Red One.”
Two stars joined the cast of “Red One”, the action-comedy movie directed by Jake Kasdan. Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans will star together in the fun holiday movie from Amazon Studios.
Details about the plot of the movie, whose story is written by Hiram Garcia and script is written by Chris Morgan, have not been disclosed yet; however, it is known that the movie will be a four-part action-adventure comedy that travels the world, imagining a whole new universe that has not been addressed before in the holiday movie genre.
Jake Kasdan, who directed Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle in 2017 and Jumanji: The Next Level in 2019, worked with Dwayne Johnson, who was in the lead role of these films. Hiram Garcia, who is the producer of Jumanji films, signaled in an interview he gave in the past weeks that Kasdan and Johnson will come together for a third Jumanji film.
Filming of “Red One” is scheduled to begin in 2022. Chris Morgan, who wrote the screenplay, penned and produced several films in the Fast and Furious franchise, including Fast & Furious: Hobbs and Shaw, Fast & Furious 8.
Dwayne Johnson has recently completed the filming of Black Adam, based on DC Comics. The movie is currently in post-production. Lastly, Chris Evans voiced Buzz in the movie Lightyear, which will tell the life of the Buzz Lightyear character who appeared in the Toy Story movies.
