There are really stories that are worth the detour in the relationship players / developers like this surprising anecdote on Red Dead Online.
As you probably know, Google’s cloud gaming service, Stadia, will close its doors from January 18, 2023. For more information on the subject, you can read our news on this subject. Inevitably in the lot, players will lose their saves on games they love. Like a certain ItsColourTV who has accumulated no less than 6000 hours on Red Dead Online.
6000 hours to throw away on Red Dead Online?
Here is his original Twitter message which also served as a plea for help:
No, you don’t understand how pissed off I am.
Following this itsColourTV called on Rockstar Games to allow him to perform a single character transfer so that they can enjoy his multiplayer character Red Dead Redemption 2 on another platform. Well good news for him! Rockstar contacted the player. The studio has thus confirmed that all Red Dead Online players who have played the Stadia version within 30 days of Stadia confirming the end date of the service will be able to carry over their progress on PC, PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. This will obviously include Gold Bars, XP, Role XP and Role Tokens.
In short, excellent news. Like what sometimes when a message is successful on the networks, the developers are listening.
Do you personally have a Stadia save that you would like to transfer to another platform?
