Sea of Thieves is preparing for a great year 2022, rich in content and improvements of all kinds. The Rare studio unveils its roadmap in video and images.
Sea of Thieves is definitely a great adventure. And following a great year rich in content, thanks in particular to the addition of a large piece directly taken from Pirates of the Caribbean, the British studio does not want to stop there. 2022 should therefore be a delight for budding or legendary pirates. The video above gives you a good overview.
Sea of Thieves’ first large content is coming soon: it’s Shrouded Island which will be available on February 17 and will take place on the now devastated outpost of Golden Sands. This update will be followed very closely by Season 6. It should make the world more alive by adding a new mystery, three additional adventures and new forts to explore. The latter will also be inhabited by ghosts of the Spanish navy (straight out of the Pirates of the Caribbean update of 2021).
A season of Sea of Thieves: a specificity
Season 7 will add new game mechanics and progression. Season 8 will improve the aspect role play and Season 9 social interactions between players. Each new season has its specificity. And each time, three new adventures will be available to shake up the storyline of the Sea of Thieves world.
