million mark cracked
The »Quintessential Quintuplets« film already broke the one million ticket mark on June 14, 2022, 26 days after it was released in Japanese cinemas. At that time, the box office was 1.39 billion yen (about 9.8 million euros), which also made the strip the fourth highest-grossing anime film in Japan that year.
The evening filler, which concludes the story about the five Nakano sisters, has been on view in Japanese cinemas since May 20, 2022. The Bibury Animation studio was once again responsible for the production, with Masato Jinbo (»Chaos;Child«) took over the direction.
The anime is based on Negi Haruba’s manga series of the same name, which was completed in a total of 14 volumes. The work is available in German from Egmont Manga in Germany, while the streaming service Crunchyroll offers the adaptation on demand.
