Quentin Tarantino has not yet started a new feature film, but he is making himself heard and sending headbutts in all directions. Latest victim, “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade”, which the director of “Pulp Fiction” noisily descended in a podcast.
Quentin Tarantino all fired up
Since Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, Quentin Tarantino has not put on his director’s cap. To the great despair of his fans, who are impatiently awaiting his tenth film. And which, according to the filmmaker, could well be his last… We are still far from it, and in the meantime the author of pulp Fiction and Django Unchained chain the declarations, all each saltier than the other.

Recently, he thus gave his opinion on the great success of 2022 Top Gun : Mavericksang the praises of Jaws and sent a tackle to the throat at the cinema of François Truffaut. In great shape, he therefore continues his work as a commentator on the 7th art and spoke about a legendary saga adored by the public: Indiana Jones.
Specifically, he gave in the podcast Reelblend his opinion on the third opus of the saga, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. And watch out, it stings hard!
‘QT’ sweeps the film starring Harrison Ford and Sean Connery
Released in 1989, directed by Steven Spielberg and worn by Harrison Ford and Sean Connery, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade is often cited as the public’s favorite opus. The adventure film puts Indiana Jones and her father in a race against the clock with the Nazis to get their hands on the Holy Grail, and had ended the year at the top of the world box office.

Funny, breathtaking, spectacular and able to count on the popularity of Sean Connery, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade convinced almost everyone. With the exception of Quentin Tarantino.
I prefer Kingdom of the Crystal Skull to the one with Sean Connery. I do not like The Last Crusade, I dont like him at all. He’s so boring. He sucks. And he (Sean Connery, editor’s note) does not play an interesting character, everything is very predictable. It’s like in Stop or my mother will shoot !
That’s what we call a massive strike. Rather than just saying that he doesn’t like the film, he says he prefers the fourth opus with Shia Labeouf, released in 2008. To date, this is the film in the saga that is least appreciated by the public. He even specifies that the character played by Sean Connery is a failure. And to end his attack in style combohe compares it to Stop or my mother will shoot!. A comedy that can indeed be classified without difficulty in thehe biggest failures of Sylvester Stallone’s career.
Everyone will have their own opinion on what is worth Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and what Quentin Tarantino thinks about it. In all cases, punchlines like that we want every day!
