Last September, some rumors thought they knew that an action-adventure game was in development on the side of Quantic Dream. The 2021 Game Awards ceremony was an opportunity to verify this.
The French and Quebecois of Quantic Dream were therefore working well on a new video game episode of the Star Wars saga: here comes Star Wars Eclipse, a brand new action adventure game which took advantage of the ceremony to formalize itself via a first tape. -announcement that already makes you want to.

Developed between Paris and Montreal, Star Wars Eclipse will situate its action during the era of the High Republic, approximately two centuries before the events of theEpisode I: The Phantom Menace. There is no lack of nods to the origins of the saga, since observant players will easily recognize the Jedi council room, the presence of Duros, Anomids or some well-known planets from the universe of George Lucas.
History to make forget a cinematographic trilogy during which Disney sailed on sight, Quantic Dream specifies that Star Wars Eclipse is developed in collaboration with the studio Lucasfilm Games. Like Heavy Rain, Beyond Two Souls or Detroit Become Human, this new title is also understood as a narrative game with many scriptwriting branches., and the press release does not go with the back of the spoon:
Star Wars Eclipse is the first video game set in an uncharted Outer Rim region,
during the era of The High Republic, known as the Golden Age of the Jedi. Quantic Dream will bring
all its expertise in branching storytelling, and intends to surpass what is already
reputation of its productions. Choices will be at the heart of the experience, and each decision may have
a dramatic impact on the unfolding of the story.
