Less than a month from the release of PSVR 2, we learn that one of the most anticipated games will not be available at launch. We will have to wait before getting a big fright.
PSVR 2 will be available next month and has finally confirmed its line-up of over 30 games. Finally, 29 now.
PSVR 2 loses one of its most important games
Sony Interactive Entertainment and its partners have gone into overdrive to offer a great release line-up for PSVR 2. A toy library made up of completely new titles – designed for the PS5 VR headset – such as Horizon Call of the Mountain, updates of Gran Turismo 7 and Resident Evil Village, The Walking Dead Saints and Sinners 2 or even remastered titles such as the excellent Moss 1 & 2 or Thumper.
Unfortunately, this list of more than 30 games has just been turned upside down with the postponement of one of the major games. A title which should have been available on February 22, 2023 and which should have exploited a feature prohibited for heart patients. Indeed, the Supermassive Games studio was forced to postpone the release of The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR.
The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR is Supermassive Games’ most ambitious virtual reality project to date. It takes players through five expansive worlds that are subdivided into various terrifying roller coaster courses based on The Dark Pictures franchise.
Our goal has always been to release the game during the launch window of the new PSVR 2 headset. But it’s also important to us that you, the gamers, have the best and most terrifying experience possible when you step on board. for your first spin in The Dark Pictures Switchback VR. In this regard, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the release to March 16, 2023.
Thank you for your enthusiasm and your patience, it makes all the difference for us! We can’t wait to tell you more about our sinister rollercoaster of hell, and keep an eye on our account for a new detailed video very soon.
The Dark Pictures Switchback VR will be available now on March 16, 2023 exclusively on PlayStation VR 2.
