PSVR 2: the official release announced, the bad news is confirmed

Late at night, Sony posted a short message on Twitter to reveal the release period of its PSVR 2. And as we feared, we will have to wait a little longer…

Like a night owl, CM PlayStation has revealed essential information about PSVR 2: its 2022 release period. Goodbye 2022…

PSVR 2 won’t be released until 2023

For several months, rumors around a release in 2023 for Sony’s next VR headset have been multiplying. And it is therefore no surprise that at midnight, the manufacturer announced a arrival of PSVR 2 for early 2023. Therefore, if there are no problems in the meantime, players should be able to get their hands on it by March at the most. This may allow the firm to produce more and above all, to manufacture more PS5s to make them work.

At the launch of PlayStation VR 2, 20 big games will be available and Resident Evil 4 Remake is surely one of them since it is expected for March 24, 2023.

A beautiful technological baby

Compared to the PSVR 1, the PSVR 2 will have great technological advantages to show off. Finally, it will have two controllers with sticks that will include the functionality of the PS5 controller. In addition to screens with better resolution, it will offer advanced eye tracking and other options such as a transparent view.

In short, Sony seems to have put the package but at what price? It’s hard to see how the company could cross the €500 mark, which would already be €100 more expensive than the previous one, but the Meta Quest 2 is well sold between €449 and €549 today so who knows.
