The PSVR 2 will be able to count on a cult license from PlayStation when it launches. Sony has just confirmed a new title that will be compatible with the headphones when released.
Announced on the sidelines of the launch of the PS5, the PSVR 2 has since been unveiled from every angle. The new virtual reality headset will arrive next month with no less than 30 games available at launch. Headlining, Horizon Call of the Mountain, No Man’s Sky or Resident Evil 8. However, Sony took advantage of its CES 2023 conference held on the night of January 5 to unveil a new killer- app which will be available at the same time as the headset.
Gran Turismo 7 at the launch of PSVR 2
On February 23, PSVR 2 will officially launch. Transparent view, customization of the game space, refresh rate that can climb up to 120 Hz, eye tracking, integrated vibrations and other terrifying features, the headset has no shortage of assets to seduce virtual reality enthusiasts. On the sidelines of its release, Sony has nevertheless confirmed a new game at launch, and not just any game. Gran Turismo 7 will be compatible with PSVR 2 upon release. The title will indeed offer a free update on this date for all players who already have the car simulation. A few brief excerpts have been unveiled and unsurprisingly it strongly resembles Gran Turismo Sport.
That wasn’t the only announcement from CES 2023, however. One of the best VR games will also be coming to PSVR 2 later. Sony has indeed confirmed that Beat Saber will be compatible with its new headphones at an undetermined date. The rhythm game should offer features similar to Meta Quest 2 in order to take advantage of its new features. It will nevertheless be necessary to wait to discover more, the Japanese firm giving us an appointment later in the year with new information at the key.
