Bad news for PS5 players subscribed to PS Plus Extra or Premium. They will have a handful of games less. Not all October additions will be available to them.
Yesterday, Sony announced with fanfare the PS Plus Extra & Premium games of October 2022. Nice additions, marked by the arrival of several flagship license opuses such as Assassin’s Creed, Dragon Quest or even Yakuza. However, PS5 players will not have access to three of these games.
Three PS Plus Extra games not available on PS5
Over 23 additional games are coming to the PS Plus Extra & Premium. Between iconic licenses and indie titles, there is something for everyone. Gamers were quick to share their excitement over these new additions, but there’s a catch for those playing on PS5. Indeed, they will have three less. Shortly after the announcement, Sony quietly edited its blog post to point out that several Assassin’s Creeds will not be available on the console.
No Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: Russia and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate on PS5. The reason is quite simple: they are one of the few games that are not backwards compatible. The opus taking place in London is however playable on the console, but it is terribly buggy. Ubisoft also promised this year that an update was on the way to stabilize theopen-world. However, the message in question has since been quietly deleted. Advantage therefore to PS4 players who will have three PS Plus Extra games in addition. The others will still have a dozen titles of excellent quality to put in their mouths.
