Jerry Bruckheimer, the producer of the Pirates of the Caribbean series, made statements about the possibility of Johnny Depp returning to the series.
Johnny Depp, whose reputation defamation lawsuit continues with his ex-wife Amber Heard, announced in a court statement last week that he will never return to the Pirates of the Caribbean series. Depp and Captain Jack Sparrow fans, upset by this statement of the famous actor, started a petition for Disney to include the actor in the project again.
An important statement on the subject came from the producer of the series, Jerry Bruckheimer. Speaking to The Sunday Times, Bruckheimer stated that two Pirates of the Caribbean projects are currently being worked on and that Johnny Depp will not appear in these films. But leaving an open door to the future, he said, “The future has not been darkened yet”.
John Depp made his first appearance in 2003 with the character of Captain Jack Sparrow, who has fans all over the world, in “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl”, which started the series. Pirates of the Caribbean’s fifth and final film, “Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge,” was released in 2017.
Brucheimer stated that the 6th and 7th films of the series are currently in preparation. In one of these movies, as previously announced, Margot Robbie will be starring, while the cast of the other is yet to be announced.
