Amazon Fire HD 8: The features of the tablet at a glance
All models are equipped with a significantly faster processor than their predecessors. Instead of four processor cores, six cores now ensure faster surfing and streaming. The new Fire HD 8 should work around 30 percent faster than the previous generation.
In addition, the battery performance was screwed. This should now be enough for around 13 hours. The 11th generation manages about twelve hours.
The Pro versions of the respective variants also offer three instead of two gigabytes of RAM and wireless charging via Qi technology. They also charge faster via the USB-C port and have a better camera on the back of the tablet.
The Fire HD 8 Kids is designed with kids in mind between the ages of three and seven, the Fire HD 8 Kids Pro is designed for children between the ages of six and twelve. Both variants include a one-year Amazon Kids+ membership with child-friendly entertainment options.
There’s also a kid-friendly case, two-year warranty, parental controls, and a parent dashboard, so you’re always in control of your little one’s media usage.
