A letter with an open heart
On his Twitter accountfilmmaker Patty Jenkins has published an open letter aimed, according to her, at restore the truth on many pointsfrom the saga Star Wars at wonder woman. To begin with, she refutes the thesis that, for the second, she left the shoot or prevented the rest of the film from seeing the light of day! The artist describes these rumors as “clickbait” and assures that she was not in this state of mind, quite the contrary.
I never turned my back.
Moreover, Patty Jenkins says she was ready to consider any request from the production to see the project progress. Only, none went up to his ears. The director felt that she could do nothing more to move things forward, and took her troubles patiently. She does not seem to be on bad terms with the leaders of Studio DC., which she mentions in her missive. The star is very understanding with them, as she admits that society is literally overwhelmed with choices and changes regarding their upcoming projects.

Note that James Gunn, director and deputy CEO of DC studios, didn’t take long to react. Under the publication of his former collaborator, he confirms that their relationship has always been both “pleasant and professional”. A way to silence gossip once and for all ?
what about Star Wars ?
Obviously, the American filmmaker had a lot, as some would say. Also, she wanted to clarify the imbroglio Star Wars. Approached to turn Rogue Squadronshe confides that the development of the work took much longer than expected, putting in his eyes Wonder Woman 3 in danger (the height of irony). She therefore, at the time, sought to return to her superheroine film. According to her, Lucasfilm then offered her to return to Rogue Squadron once the other feature film has been shot. Time to establish a new contract and voila !
If things didn’t go as planned regarding Wonder Woman 3, Patty Jenkins confirms that she is still on the project, still in development. A snub to rumors that attested to the contrary…
Goodbye time?
Most of the letter the filmmaker addresses the character of Wonder Woman, her teams and the fans, of course. Jenkins says having been in contact with the super-heroine allowed her to evolve as a person, and this, in a positive way. visibly moved, his words sound like a possible goodbye to the mythical character that she brought back to the dark rooms.
I wish him a bright future, with or without me.
The filmmaker also has very nice words for Lynda Carter, iconic interpreter of the famous vigilante, as well as for Gal Gadot, become a true friend if we believe her words. Finally, it is the turn of the fans to be warmly thanked by Patty Jenkins for their presence and their unwavering support during this great adventure.
