The distribution company Pyramide Distribution unveils a first preview of the new film by Mikhaël Hers. Entitled “Les Passagers de la nuit”, the feature film stars Charlotte Gainsbourg, Noée Abita and Emmanuelle Béart.

Parisian night

Almost four years after his last film titled Amanda, Mikhaël Hers returns to French cinemas with Passengers of the night. The story of a woman, left by her husband, who takes care of her children Matthias and Judith. She starts from scratch, finds a new job, and meets a young girl who moves her. Talulah hangs out at night with no one in the streets. A new life begins for these women and men, in search of simple happiness or a few smiles.

On the beautiful music And if you did not exist by Joe Dassin these wandering souls bond. Friendship or love, only they know. The first images from the trailer show a glimpse of a drama-tinged artwork. Complex feelings are created, and these passengers seem to finally live.

Charlotte Gainsbourg and Noée Abita in the casting

Charlotte Gainsbourg plays Elisabeth, the one who rebuilds her life without her husband. The actress no longer has a single cap. She is also a director, after the release of her documentary Jane by Charlotte. But she is never far from touring with directors. The actress is also on the poster for season 2 of In therapy with Frédéric Pierrot, Jacques Weber, and Suzanne Lindon.

For Passengers of the night, she is accompanied by Quito Rayon Richter, Megan Northam, Emmanuelle Béart, as well as Noée Abita who occupies a central place in the film. Nominated in the category Most promising female in 2022 for her performance in Slalom, Noée Abita continues her ascent. Also seen headliningAvaor playing a more minimal role in The Great Bath by Gilles Lellouche.

In the official competition at the 2022 Berlin Film Festival, Passengers of the night has everything of a delicate and touching proposal recreating a Paris of the 1980s. A great promise in the landscape of French cinema. In theaters on May 4, 2022.
