Always at ease in the dark and brutal thriller, Olivier Marchal will this time take an interest drug trafficking between France and Spain. To do this, he adapts the book Fatal trafficking by Pierre Pouchairet, published in 2017. We will find themes dear to Marchal, including that of the police war.
Overdose follows the story of Sara, head of the Toulouse police narcotics squad, who is investigating a go-fast between Spain and France, in which her former lover, Raynal, is infiltrated. She quickly discovers that her case is linked to the murder of two teenagers in a Parisian hospital attended by Richard, the head of the local criminal police. Forced to collaborate to find the murderer and stop the go-fast, Sara and Richard find themselves in a thrilling race against the clock on the Spanish and French roads as their attraction to each other grows.
