Netflix
Locke and Key season 2 (Netflix)
Locke and Key season 2 was long overdue (almost 2 years) but it is with unfeigned pleasure that we find Netflix’s fantastic series on our screens. On the program: more and more magic, the discovery of new keys and a mythology that becomes more interesting. A passage in the past allows us to learn a little more about the Locke family and to meet the future big bad, which turns out to be promising. If comic book fans criticize the series for being less dark than the original material, Locke and Key remains a family production with quality special effects. In short, we adore his universe so much that we forgive him for some lengths and weaknesses in the writing of certain characters. Chaïma Tounsi-Chaïbdraa.

HBO
Succession season 3 (OCS)
The Most Toxic Family on American Television is back for a third season. Considered by many to be one of the best series around, Succession follows the ruthless war between four heirs to seize the head of the media empire held by their irascible father. Chiseled dialogues, actors at the peak of their art and a tragicomic humorous tone, such is the recipe for the success of this series to be followed every Monday in US + 24 on OCS City. On the air for several weeks, the third season honors the previous two, and even welcomes two distinguished guests: Adrien Brody and Alexander Skarsgård. Newcomers who are sure to add their two cents, as the resistance movement initiated by Kendall against her father continues to test the loyalty of each member of the Roy clan even more. . Clement Cusseau.

Insecure season 5 (OCS)
The genius of Issa Rae strikes one last time for the fifth and final season of Insecure, her diary series that allows her to portray with humor and relevance the daily and very current experiences of a 30-year-old African-American from Los Angeles. The actress, screenwriter, director and producer brings a little spice to the tribulations of her character and her girlfriends between loves, friends, hassles, with a touch of surrealism and extravagance which makes all the charm of this impertinent series. Paced by a perfect pop soundtrack and sublimated by a polished aesthetic, Insecure deserves a look for its endearing characters, brilliant lines and should appeal to fans of Atlanta and Fleabag. Catch up on the first four seasons and end on a high note with this fifth episode burst that puts a touching and punchy end to this drama. Megan Choquet.

Impeachment: American Crime Story (CANAL + / myCANAL)
After revisiting the OJ Simpson trial and the assassination of Gianni Versace, Ryan Murphy continues to scratch America’s face. With American Crime Story: Impeachment, he reconstructs – down to the last detail – the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal. In a dark atmosphere, inspired by political thrillers – like The President’s Men by Alan J. Pakula – the 10-episode series delves into this national crisis by focusing on the relationship between two women: Monica Lewinsky and Linda Tripp. The story of a friendship, but above all of a betrayal, embodied by two excellent actresses, Beanie Feldstein and Sarah Paulson. The latter – who never hesitates to play with her image to disappear behind her characters – offers one of the most impressive performances of her career. Dissection of an America in turmoil, Impeachment is a series not to be missed. Thomas Desroches.

David Lee / Netflix
The Harder They Fall (Netflix)
For a first film, it sends heavy. With The Harder They Fall, Jeymes Samuel, British musical artist (and incidentally Seal’s brother), makes the film he has never seen: a western with black cowboys. And to show that this choice is not a far-fetched whim, all of his characters are personalities who really existed. They have just been forgotten from history books. As a bonus, he offers himself a cast of hell with
