Oppenheimer : the origin of the atomic bomb in video

Director Christopher Nolan tackles the origin of the atomic bomb with Oppenheimer, name of an American physicist known to be the director of the Manhattan Project (the code name of the research project which produced the first atomic bomb). Here is the very first trailer for the film.

Oppenheimer : an explosive trailer

In addition to retracing the origins of the Manhattan Project and therefore being a historical film, Oppenheimer is an adaptation of the Pulitzer American Prize-winning novel Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of Robert J. Oppenheimer.

The film is Christopher Nolan’s twelfth feature film. and he offers himself a cast of choice with in particular Cillian Murphy (Peaky Blinders), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Matt Damon (Alone on Mars), Emily Blunt (Edge of Tomorrow) or even Florence Pugh. For the record, the feature film is entirely shot in IMAX 65mm and in widescreen 65mm on film. This work on Oppenheimer is also the first film with sequences shot in black and white IMAX. An entire program. Whether we like Nolan’s work or not, we have to admit that the director always seeks to innovate both in technique and in staging.

Despite this first trailer, you will still have to be patient since Oppenheimer will be released on July 19, 2023 in French cinemas.
