Millie Bobby Brown and Netflix: This is a real winning formula. Not only does the British actress play one of the main characters in the hit series “Stranger Things“, she already has two more titles in the works for Netflix with “Damsel” and “The Electric State” – and then there is “Enola Holmes”, which has become one of the most watched Netflix films after its premiere in September 2020 blossomed at all.
In December 2021, “Enola Holmes” was still in the top 10 of the streaming service’s most successful films with 189 million hours watched in the first 28 days, but has now been pushed out. The fact that Netflix considers “Enola Holmes” a success can also be seen from the fact that a sequel was quickly commissionede, which will actually appear soon. Because together with the first batch of stills for the film, the streaming provider also announced the start date: Enola Holmes 2 premieres worldwide on Netflix on November 4, 2022.
In the first pictures we see next to (of course) Millie Bobby Brown as Enola, Henry Cavill as Sherlock Holmes and also known from the first part Helena Bonham Carter (as her mother Eudoria Holmes) and Louis Partridge as Tewkesbury, in whose disappearance Enola im first film was involved. Sharon Duncan-Brewster (“Dune”) as Mira Troy.
In Enola Holmes 2, Enola’s dream of owning her own detective agency has come true, but she soon discovers that life as a private investigator in Victorian England is no picnic. Just before Enola, disillusioned, wants to give up the magnifying glass, she finally gets her first case: a penniless matchstick girl begs Enola to find her missing sister.
The search takes Enola through different social classes and into the most diverse corners of London, so that she soon has to rely on the help of her allies – and above all her brother Sherlock…
