After the third season of “Rick And Morty” it was already clear that the crazy animated series would have 70 (!) more episodes and would probably run until at least season 10 (!!). And fully deserved. Even after five seasons, the crazy ingenuity of the team of authors seems to know no bounds. It is not without reason that “Rick And Morty” is one of the most popular series of recent years – and not only in the sci-fi genre.
All-time series leaderboards generated from user ratings speak for themselves here. The series ranks 14th on IMDb, 27th on DashFUN and even 9th on our sister site movie pilot. And in our editorial list of the best sitcoms of all time, “Rick And Morty” also secured a respectable 13th place, beating out a lot of live-action competition.
Unfortunately, despite the early mammoth extension, fans of the interdimensional adventures of perpetually drunk scientist Rick and his nervous grandson Morty are not immune to lengthy waits between seasons. After there were even a full two years between Seasons 3 and 4, it seems that there has been a break of around a year. And the best thing about it: The new episodes are also available in Germany parallel to the US start…
The sixth season of “Rick And Morty” starts today, September 5, 2022 – almost to the day after the finale of season 5. In Germany, the episodes celebrate their premiere every Monday at 10:15 p.m. on the pay-TV channel Warner TV Comedy, which can be received via Sky, among others. The episodes can then also be accessed flexibly via the Sky streaming service WOW (formerly Sky Ticket).

For lovers of dubbed versions, however, there is a small drop of bitterness: The German version of the ten new “Rick And Morty” episodes will only run from October 17 on Warner TV Comedy and Sky. The original version, which is already available, comes with German subtitles.
As with every “Rick And Morty” season, many are likely to be wondering when the new episodes will find their way to Netflix. After all, the secondary exploitation on the widespread streaming service is likely to have made a decisive contribution to local popularity. As always, it is difficult to make precise predictions here.
For season 5, there were eight months between the German pay-TV premiere and the Netflix release. It remains to be seen whether it will take just as long for Season 6, but you should definitely reckon with at least half a year. The sixth season of “Rick And Morty” should not appear on Netflix until spring 2023but then at least directly complete with all ten episodes.
