After years of development, “Once upon a time 2” is finally unveiled with a first shot. A photo in which Giselle faces a new character, played by Maya Rudolph.
Once upon a time : a princess lost in New York
In 2007, before being nominated for an Oscar for her performances in Doubt, fighter, The Master, american bluff and ViceAmy Adams Wears Comedy Once upon a time, in which she delivers a radically different but equally impressive interpretation. The actress lends her features to Giselle, a princess who lives in the enchanted kingdom of Andalasia.
An idyllic cartoon world, where she can sing with the animals and where she falls madly in love with the charming Edward (James Marsden). But as the two lovebirds prepare to unite forever, the evil Narissa (Susan Sarandon) takes on the appearance of an innocent old lady and sends Giselle into a much less peaceful and much more cruel universe… New York! Lost in the crowded streets of Manhattan, the young woman can fortunately count on the support of Robert Philip (Patrick Dempsey), a lawyer specializing in divorces.
having collected 2.8 million French spectators in dark rooms and raised more than $340 million in worldwide revenue, Once upon a time established itself as a commercial success. From 2008, Disney plans to give a follow-up to the quirky feature film which multiplies the references to the classics of its catalog such as Snow White and the seven dwarfs and The Sleeping Beauty. For several years, the project did not progress, until the arrival in 2016 of Adam Shankman (Hairspray, Enchanted Stories) as director. The director succeeds Kevin Lima.
Giselle is finally back!

In December 2020, Disney officially announced the launch of production and revealed that this sequel will be broadcast on the Disney+ streaming platform. And after a long wait, fans finally get a first look at the film.

The two characters stare at each other in a place that resembles the kingdom of Andalasia.
