Six Minutes to Midnight was born out of British comedian Eddie Izzard’s fascination with the history ofAugusta Victoria College, located in the coastal town of Bexhill-on-Sea, a short walk from where she grew up. Indeed, this boarding school, reserved for young girls from influential Nazi families, really existed between 1932 and 1939. At the same time involved as co-writer, co-producer and principal interpreter of the film, Eddie Izzard took care of the smallest details. Among them, the badges of the uniforms of the young girls representing a rampant lion flanked by a Union Jack and a swastika.
