THE FILM OF THE DAY
Directed in 1982 by Jean-Marie Poiré, Santa Clause is garbage is the film adaptation of the eponymous play created by the Splendid troupe three years earlier. Despite mixed success when it was released in theaters (with 1,582,732 admissions; less than for Les Bronzés), the film acquired its status as a cult French comedy film as it was broadcast on TV. Impossible therefore, to resist the call of the winter viewing of this real remedy against the gloom thanks to dialogues rolled under the armpits which always hit the mark!
