Nvidia unveils the RTX 4070 Ti, an "affordable" powerhouse

After many rumors and various rumors, not necessarily all legitimate, Nvidia is taking the opportunity of CES 2023, the great mess of high-tech to officially unveil its GeForce RTX 4070 Ti graphics card. Either a slightly more affordable GPU to take advantage of the new 4000 generation.

An Nvidia card that has it in its belly

Let’s start with what can be annoying: the price. The card will be available on January 5, 2023, starting at 799 dollars, which is ultimately expensive but less than one might have thought. Especially since Nvidia gives superior performance to the RTX 3090 Ti. This is surprising, announcement effect or real performance? Either way, it’s stunning. This card will obviously allow you to take advantage of Nvidia DLSS3 technology to have flawless optimization in most AAA games (and sometimes even others).

On the technical side we have the right to the same card as the RTX 4080 12 GB, namely:

  • CUDA Cores : 7680
  • Base clock speed : 2235MHz
  • Boost: 2610MHz
  • Total video memory : 12 GB GDDR6X
  • Memory clock : 10500MHz
  • Cache size L2: 49.15 MB
  • Video connections : 3x DisplayPort 1.4a, 1x HDMI 2.1
  • Maximum resolution : 4K at 240 Hz or 8K at 60 Hz with DSC
  • Minimum Power : 700W
  • PCIE interface : generation 4

It is therefore the most affordable RTX 4000 GPU currently even if the magic conversion in Europe may hurt a little with 899 euros. That’s still 200 euros less than the RTX 4080 12 GB when it was announced. We can therefore say that Nvidia made a move by changing the nomenclature. It now remains to wait for the first tests to know its true power in play.

What do you think of this Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti?
