The collaboration between David E. Kelley is definitely very fruitful. After Big Little Lies and The Undoing, they work together again for this mini-series adapted from a novel by Liane Moriarty.

Released this summer on Amazon Prime Video, which acquired the international rights, Nine Perfect Strangers once again brings together creator David E. Kelley and actress-producer Nicole Kidman around a novel by Liane Moriarty.
Kelley had previously adapted Moriarty’s bestseller Big Little Lies under the leadership of Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon. This eight-episode miniseries follows nine stressed city dwellers who embark on a ten-day retreat at Tranquillum House, a health and wellness center located in Australia that promises to transform and heal the guests who stay there.
However, the resort isn’t quite what it appears to be, and guests are about to uncover many secrets about each other. To top it off, the host of the venue run by modern-day guru Masha (Nicole Kidman) has everything to be suspicious. A role a priori tailor-made for Nicole Kidman.
Facing the Oscar-winning actress, we find a prestigious cast – as in all her previous productions for the small screen: Melissa McCarthy, Michael Shannon, Luke Evans, Bobby Cannavale, Regina Hall, Samara Weaving, Melvin Gregg, Asher Keddie, Grace Van Patten, Tiffany Boone and Manny Jacinto.
The first three episodes of Nine Perfect Strangers will be available starting August 20 on Prime Video, with new episodes every week.
