“Sand and Stones” takes place in a world where the population rate is falling and society is collapsing. A lonely father (Cage) has survived with his twin sons in a remote farmhouse, but the family is not safe. Every night after sunset, “wild creatures” begin to hunt and kill any living thing in their path. Father and sons find themselves fighting for survival when a mistake made by one of the sons leaves them vulnerable to attack…
The screenplay of the movie was written by Michael Nilon. Ben Brewer is actually a commercial and music video director. He made his feature directorial debut with 2016’s “The Trust”, also starring Cage. Brewer, who is also a visual effects artist, was the lead visual effects artist for the critically acclaimed film Everything Everywhere All At Once.
Nicolas Cage has starred in “Pig” in recent years, “The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent” and “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” in which he was in the voice cast, he had a minor renaissance in his career. He is currently shooting the horror-comedy “Dream Scenario”, and his next projects include playing Count Dracula “Renfield’, the crime comedy ‘The Retirement Plan’ and the western movie ‘The Old Way’.
