Meeting with Daniel Brühl on the occasion of the release of the feature film “Next Door”, which marks his first experience as a director. A malicious camera in which he plays an actor grappling with a disturbing neighbor.
After more than two decades in front of the camera, Daniel Brühl, inspired, he tells us, by the examples of Mathieu Amalric and his friend Julie Delpy, takes the stage of directing with Next Door. A subtle closed-door mixing thriller, black comedy and social reflection where the one that we recently saw in the credits of the series Falcon and the Winter Soldier plays mischievously with his image.
In this Next Door that he presents to us in the player above, Daniel Brühl thus embodies … Daniel, a famous actor living in a beautiful apartment with his charming partner, their two children and the nanny.
While waiting for his driver, as he prepares to take off for London where the cast of a superhero film awaits him, he goes to the local bar without knowing that he is followed by Bruno, his mysterious neighbor. This premeditated meeting will take Daniel to the dark recesses of his privacy. Bruno is determined to make him go through hell.
