Film adapts volumes 12 and 13
The film adapts the “The Paladin of the Sacred Kingdom Arc” from the light novel volumes 12 and 13 of the same name by Naoyuki Ito. Concrete details about the production, such as the contributors and the studio, are currently pending. A start date has not yet been announced.
The franchise around »Overlord« consists of three seasons and two films so far – the fourth season is currently running animal in simulcast. A disc release will be made by KSM Anime.
The original light novel by Kugane Maruyama started in June 2012 and has so far comprised 16 volumes, which are published in Germany by TOKYOPOP with a German translation. Carlsen Manga publishes the manga adaptation of the same name by Fugin Miyama, which started in November 2014.
