


We recently received some information about a “Star Wars’ series by Jon Watts, director of the three ‘Spider-Man’ films starring Tom Holland. On the Star Wars Celebration, the new series has now been officially announced.
Our editor Benjamin Hecht was there for the live announcement in Anaheim. Here are the facts he conveyed to us straight from the great hall and presentation on the series:
- the series is called “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew”
- the focus is on four children
- but it is not a children’s series
- the four children must find their way home across the galaxy
- Jude Law plays an as yet undisclosed role
- the series takes place after “Return of the Jedi” around the time of “The Mandalorian”
- Shooting will take place in the summer of 2022
- The series will come to Disney+ in 2023
