Baz Luhrmann’s biopic “Elvis” will have its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.

The biopic “Elvis”, directed by Baz Luhrmann and starring Austin Butler and Tom Hanks, will have its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival. The premiere, which will take place a month before the film’s release, will be Baz Luhrmann’s first film to be screened at Cannes after 2013’s “The Great Gatsby”.
While the premiere was announced with a post from the official Twitter account of the Cannes Film Festival, a new photo was also shared where I saw Austin Butler as Elvis Presley, the King of Rock N Roll.
The Elvis biography has been in development since 2014, but no real action was taken until 2019 when Tom Hanks was included in the film. Oscar-winning actor Hanks will star in the movie as Elvis Presley’s manager, Colonel Tom Parker.
“Elvis”, which will be released on June 24, will be broadcast on HBO Max 45 days later.
