Most recently it was already at “Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness” amazingly fast. And now, just two months after its theatrical release, the latest MCU adventure is already finding its way to Disney’s in-house streaming service for all subscribers: “Thor 4: Love And Thunder” is available on Disney+ starting today, September 8, 2022. Who the wild space trip of Oscar winner and “Thor 3” director Taika Waititi (“Jojo Rabbit”) missed at the cinema, can now catch up on it in the comfort of your own home.

“Love And Thunder” didn’t convince us as much as the direct predecessor, since Waititi finally buries the more tragic tones of his story under a good portion of self-mockery and madness, but you can always have fun with the 29th MCU film.
And for everyone who can’t get enough of Thor and Chris Hemsworth, Disney+ is also delivering a direct making-of of “Thor 4” and the documentary “Shark Beach”, in which the Marvel star goes on a shark exploration tour in his native Australia.
The wave of live-action remakes of Disney animated classics continues unabated. Before we can expect new interpretations of “Arielle” and “Peter Pan” in the near future, let’s do it now the remake of the seminal animated film Pinocchio, coming direct to Disney+ into the house.

In fact, in the past there have been all sorts of live-action adaptations of the famous story about the wooden doll that comes to life and dreams of being a real boy, after all it goes back to a 19th-century children’s book. However, Disney itself is now orienting itself very closely towards its own animated version of the adventure in the renewed adaptation – and that is also one of the big problems of the film…
Directed by great director Robert Zemeckis (“Forrest Gump,” “Back to the Future”), the new “Pinocchio” simply repeats most of the original without adding anything really meaningful to it or even remotely matching its magic. If you are curious to experience the well-known story in a new guise and with the always worth seeing Tom Hanks as Pinocchio’s “father” Geppetto, you can take a look. Everyone else should rather (again) reach for the original from 1940, which of course can also be found on Disney+.
“Thor 4” and “Pinocchio” are undoubtedly the biggest reboots on Disney+. But apart from that, the streaming service still has a few potential highlights up its sleeve, which we have summarized for you below:
- “Obi-Wan Kenobi: Return of a Jedi”: Making of the “Star Wars”Obi-Wan Kenobi,” which stars Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen, among others, as they ponder their return to the franchise
- “Cars On The Road”: Series spin-off of the popular animated film series “Cars”, in which Lightning McQueen embarks on an off-track road trip across the USA with his friend Hook
- “Welcome to the club”: New “Simpsons” short film in which Lisa’s attempt to become a princess takes a surprising turn
- “Wedding Season”: Black humor thriller series in which “Alita” star Rosa Salazar becomes the focus of the police investigation after a bloodbath at her wedding and then flees with her affair to get to the bottom of the matter herself
- “Grow Up”: Documentary series developed by Marvel star Brie Larson, which uses very personal stories of various protagonists between the ages of 18 and 22 to take a look at growing up and the challenges that come with it
There should be something for everyone with these colorful new additions to the Disney+ program. And if you’re also interested in what else you can look forward to on Disney+ for the rest of September, just take a look at our monthly overview:
