In the official DashFUN review, “Edge Of Tomorrow” received an impressive 4 out of 5 stars. Our author Björn Becher writes in his conclusion: “Entertaining blockbuster cinema can be that simple: two charismatic stars and good actors, a straightforward, not too complex but exciting story, good action and a good portion of humor.” You can see what makes the film so great in the full review:
In the not too distant future, Earth will be invaded by a technologically far superior alien race known as the Mimics. In relentless attacks, the aliens reduce entire cities to rubble, leaving nothing but death and destruction in their wake. No army in the world can stop the destructive force. Major Bill Cage (Tom Cruise), who has no combat experience whatsoever, is summoned without warning to what turns out to be a suicide squad.
He dies after a short time, but inexplicably gets caught in a time warp that makes him relive the day of the battle over and over again. Every iteration he goes through makes him a better soldier.
Soon Bill is fighting alongside Special Forces’ Rita Vrataski (Emily Blunt) and he begins to find new hope. Can the earth possibly still be saved?

With “Dune“ Denis Villeneuve delivered THE cinema spectacle of the year 2021. Not only did the official DashFUN review give it the top rating of 5 out of 5 stars, we even think the sci-fi epic is the best film of the last year. No wonder that the imitators and epigones were not long in coming. And when a blockbuster celebrates great success, the notorious production company The Asylum is of course not far away. In case of “Dune”It’s no different.

“Planet Dune”, the low-budget variant by Denis Villeneuves “Dune’, is now also available with an Amazon Prime Video subscription. However, this is not high-quality entertainment, but deliberate trash that comes around the corner with bad dialogue, weak performances by the actors and cruel effects. If you have a soft spot for it, you should check out “Planet Dune“ not to be missed – maybe there is one hidden here Guilty Pleasure. Director Glenn Campbell also worked on the special effects for classics like Tron, Dick Tracy and Spaceballs.
That’s what it’s about: The crew of the colonization ship IMC 5 is to explore and survey a desert planet with conditions similar to those on Earth. But shortly before the crew wants to leave the surface to return to their space station, all contact with them breaks off. But what happened to her?
To find out exactly that, Captain Chase (Sean Young from “Blade Runner”!) and her followers embark on a rescue mission – with devastating consequences. Because shortly after their arrival on the planet, they notice who is in charge there: giant sandworms! And they are anything but happy about the uninvited guests…
