“ES” is one of THE must-sees from the recent past for horror fans. The remake of Stephen King’s legendary horror clown tome grossed over 700 million dollars, making it the highest-grossing horror film of all time – and with that same success, a (new) wave of Stephen King films was unleashed. One adaptation that you should definitely see if you know and like the horror blockbuster is “IT: Chapter 2”. After all, this tells the important second part of the story about creepy jugglers Pennywise and the legendary, now grown-up Losers Club.
“ES 2” is now available as a subscription to Amazon Prime Video at no additional cost. So if you missed the proud 170-minute long shower spectacle in the cinema or you just want to refresh your memory – in the almost three hours a lot happens, so that you can forget something – this is the perfect opportunity for you:

27 years have passed since a troop of misfit kids routed the sadistic clown Pennywise (Bill Skarsgård) in the small town of Derry. But now the sinister creature that can turn into the nightmares of its victims returns.
When a mysterious series of murders breaks out in the sleepy little town, librarian Mike (Isaiah Mustafa) is immediately convinced: IT is back! So he rounds up his childhood friends (including James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain and Bill Hader) to once again declare war on Pennywise. But first they must confront their dark past….
With 4 stars, “ES: Kapitel 2” performs slightly worse than its predecessor (4.5 stars), but is still well above the genre average. In addition to an outstanding cast and an iconic antagonist for eternity, part 2 also scores above all with a grandiose staging. Director Andy Muschietti reaches really deep into his bag of tricks here and also turns the atmospheric horror saga into a visual feast.
