THE UNAVOIDABLE
January 7: Mother / Android
Netflix kicks off the year with Mother / Android, a post-apocalyptic thriller, in which Sam and Georgia, a couple of expectant young parents, embark on a long journey to find safety before the birth of their child in a chaotic world in the throes of a violent revolt of androids.
This sci-fi film written and directed by Mattson Tomlin, screenwriter on Project Power and The Batman, brings together Chloë Grace Moretz, Algee Smith (Detroit, The Hate U Give) and Raúl Castillo (À Couteaux Tirés, Army of the Dead).
January 21: The Munich Vise
Inspired by Robert Harris’ book, The Munich Vise tells how the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Neville Chamberlain and the German diplomat Paul von Hartmann will do everything to avoid World War II in the fall of 1938. For this, they will get to Munich but will not prevent being caught in a plot.
This adaptation, signed by playwright Ben Power and directed by Christian Schwochow (who directed Paula and episodes of The Crown, among others) is worn by Jeremy Irons, George MacKay (1917) and Jannis Niewöhner (Mute).

January 6: Recluse
Hispanic horror film as the Spaniards know so well, Reclus tells how the peaceful life of a family isolated from the rest of society will be turned upside down by a terrifying creature who tests the bonds that unite the members. .
This first feature film by David Casademunt is carried by Inma Cuesta, seen in Julieta and Après toi le chaos, Roberto Álamo (Antidisturbios) and Asier Flores (Pain and Glory).
January 20: Absolutely Royal!
Three years after playing Aladdin in the live action version, Mena Massoud is back in the spotlight in the romantic comedy Absolutely Royal! This time, the Canadian actor plays a real prince named Thomas.
During his marriage, he meets Izzy (Laura Marano), a young hairdresser from New York who is happy to be able to take care of celebrities at such an event. But she hadn’t planned on falling in love with the prince. Will the latter choose love or his duty?
